Industrial Edge AI: The new era of intelligent efficiency

The AI revolution is no longer confined to the cloud. In an ever more connected and intelligent world, conserving energy is critical. GIGAIPC’s new QBiP-155UB and QBiP-125UB 3.5" boards are engineered to meet this demand. Powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 and Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 processors, they run AI workloads faster, smarter, more power-efficient and reliable. Boasting a remarkable 2.5-fold increase in power efficiency over previous generations, they are the ideal choice for power-constrained edge deployments, including smart parking systems, precision medical devices, and intelligent retail solutions.

 

Built on the advanced Intel® Meteor Lake-U architecture, the QBiP-155UB and QBiP-125UB integrate a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to deliver up to 11 Tera Operations Per Second (TOPS) of AI performance. This incredible processing power is achieved through a low power design, operating at a base TDP of just 15W. This efficiency enables the boards to sustain demanding AI workloads over extended periods, providing consistent, long-duration performance that is crucial for power-sensitive edge applications.

 

For expandability, they are equipped with one 2230 M.2 Key-E slot and one 2280 M.2 Key-M slot, accommodating wireless modules, NVMe SSDs, and SATA devices. Both boards also offer comprehensive I/O options, including dual 2.5GbE LAN ports, four USB 3.2, four USB 2.0, and four COM ports (3 x RS-232/422/485 + 1 x RS-232/422/485 & RI/5V/12V), as well as TPM 2.0 and CAN-Bus for secure and versatile industrial connectivity.

 

In terms of display, the QBiP-155UB and QBiP-125UB support triple display outputs via dual HDMI 2.1, and LVDS interfaces, with resolutions up to 8K, making them a robust platform for industrial imaging, multi-screen control, and visual edge applications.
